Kick & Gilman began in Loudonville, in 2003. In 2010, we expanded to a second office in Ashland. That expansion included taking over the files, and many clients, of the Troth & Van Tilburg law firm. Over the years we have been called upon to take over files of a number of attorneys and firms who have retired or taken positions as judges.

Since 2003, we have provided legal services to individuals, families, estates, farms, local governments, non-profit organizations, and business entities with one to several hundred employees. We have developed a body of practice areas and experiences that allow us to serve many of our clients’ most important legal needs, as well as a network of other attorneys we can call upon when our clients’ needs are outside of our areas of work. One way or another, we are here to help our clients and give them trusted guidance.

As we have grown, our firm has learned the value and limitations of technology. We have been able to strike a balance of using some of the most cutting-edge technologies available to give our clients faster, better, and more efficient legal services. However, we have never lost sight of the fact that our clients want and deserve the personal touch and communication that help them understand their legal matters and be able to make good decisions through them.

We hope to have the opportunity to work with you. Please contact us to let us know what you need and see how we can help. We look forward to meeting you.

Prior to joining Kick & Gilman, LLC in January 2022, Rebecca had a wide variety of legal experience.  While attending law school in the evening, Rebecca worked full-time as a Paralegal with the prestigious law firm Baker & Hostetler, LLP.   After earning her law degree, she served as an Assistant Attorney General for the Ohio Attorney General’s Office in the Health and Human Services Section. She primarily served as legal counsel for the Ohio State Dental Board, the Ohio Department of Health, and the Ohio Department of Aging; all agencies focused on the protection of Ohio’s residents.   Given her excellent work with the Attorney General’s Office, she then served as the Assistant Director of the Ohio State Dental Board, overseeing the Board’s regulatory and enforcement activities.   Rebecca later returned to private practice working as an associate and a partner with various law firms.

Rebecca now focuses her practice on bankruptcy, wills, trusts, elder law and asset protection, estate administration and civil litigation.   Her well-rounded legal experience and versatility lends itself well to representing clients in all legal venues.
